EARMASTER PRO

EarMaster 5 has been developed & refined by a Danish software company.

It is hip and cool and comes in 18 languages.

You can choose from 3 versions:

1) EarMaster Essential 5.0,
2) EarMasterPro 5.0 and
3) EarMaster School 5.0

There is a fully functional trial version for 21 days.

The Essential program features 110 standard & 29 Jazz tutor lessons, while the other 2 have 450 and 211 respectively.

All 3 versions include:

• Interval Comparison,
• Interval & Chord Identification +
• Rhythm Reading.

But with the base program you miss out on some additional features like:

• Interval Singing,
• Chord Inversion,
• Chord Progressions,
• Scale Identification,
• Melodic Dictation,
• Rhythm Imitation,
• Dictation & Correction.

Mind you, what is included in the Essential version is plenty to keep a beginner occupied.

All 3 programs feature:

• On screen guitar, piano, bass, violin staff.
• Sing, play (midi support) or clap answers via microphone.
• Built in metronome and guitar tuner.
• Export/import results and assignments.
• Free support.
• The school version includes extensive interaction possibilities with students.

Out of all the paid ear training software,

Ear Master comes out on top in my book,

mainly because of the very reasonable price tag of US$30 for the Essential version.

The other 2 will cost you US$60 & $130 respectively.

Academic licenses for multi computer use cost US$439 to install on 5 computers and

US$699 to use it on up to 200 computers either on the school site or by students on their home computers.

This is serious value for money
