PRACTICA MUSICA
Practica Musica by the music education software company Ars nova comes in 3 versions:
1. The Student Edition is only sold to academic buyers. Activities cannot be customized and progress is only tracked for 1 person.
There is a CD-ROM version (not downloadable) for US$45 or US$55 with coordinated textbook.
2. The Standard Edition allows customized activities and can track the progress of 4 students.
The CD-ROM version is US$125 or download it for US$100
3. The Site Edition, the choice for colleges and high schools, allows installation on multiple on site computers and includes 30 renewable student files for record keeping. This version whether on CD-ROM or downloaded, costs US$850.
There is no trial or demo version.

You can use Practica Musica to learn to read music, explore the theory course or improve your ear with over 90 exercises.

There is a section for beginners and an AP Prep Course for students doing the AP music exam.

Interact with the program by inputting notes on the staff and have your work evaluated.

Export MIDI files for playback on other software.

Learn the basics of solfege.
Overall, an excellent product but in my opinion overpriced.
